Summary
This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) software could accurately detect infections at the tip of a tooth's root. Researchers compared the AI's analysis of dental X-rays to the results from detailed 3D cone beam CT scans, which is a current standard. The goal was to see if AI could be a helpful tool for dentists in diagnosing these common problems.
