First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at how different features of an AI system that helps doctors make decisions affect whether primary care physicians actually use it. About 3,000 doctors in China will test 32 different versions of the AI tool while diagnosing respiratory infections. The goal is to find out which AI features—like showing how it reached a conclusion or fitting smoothly into the doctor's workflow—help or hurt doctors' accuracy and willingness to use the system.
