AI vs. doctor: who spots more colon polyps?
NCT ID NCT07171333
Summary
This Italian study tested whether adding computer assistance to colonoscopy helps doctors find more polyps. Researchers compared regular high-definition colonoscopy with the same procedure plus real-time computer alerts. The study involved 421 adults aged 40-80 who were already scheduled for colonoscopy to see if the computer system improved detection rates.
