AI vs. Doctor's eye: which spots more colon polyps?
NCT ID NCT06160466
Summary
This study tested whether a computer program using artificial intelligence (AI) could help doctors find more growths called polyps during a colonoscopy. Over 1,100 people who were due for a follow-up colonoscopy were randomly assigned to have their procedure done with the AI software or the standard way. Researchers compared how many polyps were found in each group to see if the AI made a difference.
