First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether Ai Chi, a slow, controlled water exercise program, can help people with long-term dizziness from inner ear problems. 38 adults will either do standard home exercises or add Ai Chi sessions in a pool over 4 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in balance, dizziness-related disability, and quality of life.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Ai Chi-based exercise program

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a new, gentle exercise option to help people with chronic dizziness improve their balance and quality of life.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 38 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The therapy requires a pool and a therapist, which may not be widely available.
