AI vs. TB: can a computer spot lung disease faster than a doctor?

NCT ID NCT06963606

Summary

This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can help doctors diagnose tuberculosis (TB) more quickly and accurately. It will involve about 22,000 people visiting primary care clinics in China who have symptoms of TB and get a chest X-ray. The main goal is to see if using the AI tool alongside a doctor's review leads to more TB cases being found and diagnosed faster than with a doctor's review alone.
