Your Phone's new dentist? AI chatbot trial aims to save implants

NCT ID NCT07300657

Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone AI chatbot could help patients with dental implants keep their mouths cleaner and healthier. 110 patients were split into two groups: one used the chatbot for personalized tips and reminders, while the other received standard care like printed leaflets and hygienist advice. Researchers measured plaque, gum bleeding, and bone health around the implants to see if the AI tool led to better long-term results.
