AI chatbot vs. text messages: new tech battle to help native communities kick smoking habit
NCT ID NCT06697496
Summary
This study is testing two smartphone-based programs to help American Indian and Alaska Native adults quit smoking. Researchers want to see if a daily AI chatbot or standard text messages are more effective at providing support and motivation over a 42-day quit program. The goal is to find better ways to help these communities, which have high smoking rates and related cancer risks, successfully stop smoking.
