First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study compares AI-assisted upper endoscopy with standard high-definition endoscopy to see which misses fewer stomach growths (neoplasms). About 1,000 adults aged 40 and older scheduled for a routine scope will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to find out if AI can help doctors detect more suspicious lesions during the first exam, potentially catching cancers earlier.
