Summary
This study is testing a smartphone app that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help community health workers in rural Africa diagnose skin diseases. Over 2,400 participants, including health workers and patients, will be involved in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Senegal. The goal is to see if the app improves the accuracy and speed of diagnosing neglected tropical skin diseases like leprosy and scabies, and if health workers learn from it and keep their skills after the app is removed.
