Summary
This study aimed to train a computer system to estimate body weight and composition from a single 3D camera image of a person lying down. Researchers planned to enroll adult volunteers of all sizes and ages, take body measurements and a DXA scan, and compare the camera's estimates to actual weights. The goal was to help emergency medical staff quickly estimate weight for proper medication dosing, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
