Can a mushroom pill keep toddlers from getting sick?

NCT ID NCT07479394

Summary

This study is testing whether a dietary supplement called AHCC, made from mushroom extract, can help prevent colds and respiratory infections in young children. Researchers will give the supplement or a placebo to 60 healthy children aged 2-4 years in daycare centers for three months. They'll track how many infections children get and measure changes in their immune system markers to see if the supplement provides protection.
