Scientists track Protein's path to unlock secrets of aging muscles

NCT ID NCT05400733

Summary

This study aims to understand how aging affects the body's ability to process protein, which is linked to muscle loss. Researchers will measure metabolism in 50 healthy adults aged 60-80 after they drink different nutritional supplements. The goal is to identify specific metabolic patterns that explain age-related decline in muscle function.
