New hope for kids with severe bowel disease

NCT ID NCT07158242

Summary

This study is testing whether a new medication called afimkibart can help children aged 2-17 who have moderate to severe ulcerative colitis, a painful bowel disease. Researchers want to see if the treatment can bring the disease under control and keep it controlled for a year. The trial is for children who haven't gotten enough relief from standard treatments like steroids or other biologic drugs.
