First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a new drug called aficamten in 36 Japanese adults with a heart condition that makes the heart muscle too thick, making it hard to pump blood. The drug works by relaxing the heart muscle to improve blood flow. Researchers will check if it reduces symptoms and improves daily life over 6 months, with a long-term follow-up for those who benefit.
