Summary
This study aimed to understand how the drug afamelanotide is processed by the body in people with erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP), a rare condition causing severe pain from sunlight. It involved 28 adolescent and adult patients. Researchers measured the drug's levels in the blood over time to learn how it behaves.
