Scientists track Blood's clotting signals after heart procedure
NCT ID NCT04947657
Summary
This study aims to understand the relationship between blood clotting markers and the amount of atrial fibrillation (AF) a patient experiences after a standard catheter ablation procedure. Researchers will enroll about 20 patients with AF who are already scheduled for ablation. They will collect blood samples before, during, and after the procedure to measure various clotting factors and see how they relate to AF recurrence and heart scarring seen on MRI scans.
