First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tests whether inhaling tiny particles from stem cells (called exosomes) can prevent or treat severe mouth sores caused by radiation therapy. About 200 head and neck cancer patients getting radiation will receive either the exosome mist or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach reduces painful ulcers and improves quality of life.
