New device tested to help ventilator patients breathe on their own

Summary

This study is checking if the AeroPace System continues to be safe and effective for helping patients breathe on their own after being on a ventilator for at least 4 days. Researchers will follow 120 patients who haven't been able to come off the ventilator yet. They'll track whether patients can successfully stop using the ventilator within 30 days and monitor for any safety issues.
