New Two-Step procedure aims to help lungs breathe easier

Summary
This study is testing a two-step medical procedure for people with severe emphysema. First, a special foam is used to seal off unwanted air passages between lung lobes. If successful, a small valve is then placed to help the healthier parts of the lung work better. The goal is to improve breathing and quality of life for participants over a two-year follow-up period.
