Summary

This study is testing if a new medicine called ADX-038, given as an injection under the skin, can slow down the progression of geographic atrophy. Geographic atrophy is a severe form of age-related macular degeneration that causes permanent blind spots in central vision. The trial will compare the medicine to a placebo in 240 participants over 12 months to see if it better preserves a key layer of the retina.
