New MRI technique may help doctors biopsy brain tumors more accurately

NCT ID NCT03458676

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether using advanced MRI (AMRI) helps doctors target brain tumor biopsies more accurately than standard methods. About 62 adults with suspected brain tumors will get both types of MRI before surgery, and researchers will compare the biopsy results. The goal is to improve how doctors use AMRI images, not to provide a direct treatment benefit.
