New program helps Low-Income residents plan for future medical wishes
NCT ID NCT06129149
Summary
This small pilot study tested a new program designed to help residents of affordable housing plan for future medical decisions if they become unable to speak for themselves. The program was adapted to be sensitive to past trauma. Researchers worked with 30 residents to see if the program was acceptable, appropriate, and feasible, and if it helped people start the planning process. The goal was to gather information to design a larger future study to address planning disparities.
