Study aims to find best test for treatable high blood pressure cause
NCT ID NCT07298954
Summary
This study is comparing three different ways of performing a diagnostic test called adrenal venous sampling (AVS) for people with primary aldosteronism, a condition where the adrenal glands produce too much of a hormone that causes high blood pressure. The goal is to see which testing method best guides doctors to choose the right treatment—either surgery or medication—for each patient. Researchers will follow 456 participants to see how well their blood pressure and hormone levels improve six months after treatment.
