NCT ID NCT04917757

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at over 3,600 adults with adrenal incidentalomas (non-cancerous adrenal tumors) to see if mild cortisol excess raises the risk of death or heart problems like heart attack and stroke. Researchers measure cortisol levels after a simple overnight test and track health outcomes for at least three years. The goal is to better understand the long-term impact of these common tumors.
