New drug shows promise for fatty liver in early trial

Summary
This study tests a drug called ADI-PEG 20 in 60 adults with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a type of fatty liver disease. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo to see if it safely reduces liver fat over 24 weeks. The goal is to find a new treatment that controls the disease and prevents it from getting worse.
