New program aims to close the gap in ADHD care for minority families

NCT ID NCT04591951

Summary

This study is developing and testing a program called I2-ART to help families of Latinx and African American children with ADHD stick to their treatment plans. The program uses trained 'family navigators' to support caregivers, address common barriers like distrust of the healthcare system, and improve the use of ADHD medications and therapy. Researchers are working with families and healthcare providers to create a culturally appropriate support system.
