Zap your brain at home? trial tests shock therapy for ADHD

NCT ID NCT06766214

Summary

This study tested whether adding a home-based brain stimulation treatment (called tDCS) to a standard online therapy program could better help adults with ADHD. Thirty participants were randomly assigned to receive either the real brain stimulation or a fake version alongside their online therapy. Researchers measured if the combination led to greater improvements in attention, hyperactivity, and overall ADHD symptoms.
