Scientists probe ADHD Drug's hidden effects on the brain
NCT ID NCT07041333
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a common ADHD medication, methylphenidate, affects inflammation in the brain. Researchers measured specific markers in the blood of 57 children with ADHD before they started the standard medication and again three months later. The goal was to see if the drug's benefits are linked to changes in these inflammation levels, providing new insight into how the treatment works.
