First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study looks at patients who lose a lot of blood during surgery and need transfusions. Researchers want to see if the balance of fibrinogen (a clotting protein) to red blood cells affects whether patients survive or recover well. About 1,700 adults having major surgeries are being observed to find the best transfusion mix.
