New drug combo shows promise for tough esophageal cancer

Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug adebrelimab to standard chemotherapy before surgery can help shrink tumors in people with locally advanced esophageal cancer. About 42 adults with this type of cancer will receive the combination, then have surgery. The main goal is to see how many patients have no cancer cells left in the removed tissue.
