First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study compares adding either midazolam or cisatracurium to the standard numbing medicine (lidocaine) for eye injections before retinal surgery. The goal is to see if these additives help paralyze the eye muscles faster, making the procedure more comfortable. 90 adults scheduled for retinal surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three groups to test which additive works best.
