First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests a new 'adaptive' brain stimulation system that adjusts in real-time to a person's symptoms, compared to standard constant stimulation. About 104 adults with Parkinson's disease who already have a brain implant will try both types to see which gives them more 'good on' time with fewer movement problems. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage daily symptoms.
