Fewer trips, same punch: new radiation approach for spread cancer
NCT ID NCT07415356
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a way to give radiation therapy for cancer that has spread to lymph nodes in the belly or pelvis. Normally, patients need 5 sessions of a precise type of radiation called SBRT. This study uses daily scans to adjust the radiation beam, which may allow some patients to safely reduce the number of sessions by at least 30%. The goal is to make treatment shorter and more convenient without losing effectiveness.
