New radiation technique aims to spare cervical cancer patients from painful bowel problems

NCT ID NCT05197881

Summary

This study is testing a new, personalized approach to radiation therapy for advanced cervical cancer. The goal is to see if adjusting the radiation dose daily based on a patient's anatomy can reduce severe bowel side effects, like pain and urgency, compared to standard radiation. The trial will enroll 125 patients who are scheduled to receive standard chemotherapy and radiation together.
