New eye camera could spot glaucoma damage earlier

NCT ID NCT05370287

First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026

Summary

This study tests a special camera that takes super-detailed pictures of the back of the eye. Researchers want to see if it can measure tiny changes in blood flow and nerve cells in people with glaucoma. About 150 adults, both healthy and with glaucoma, will have their eyes scanned. The goal is to improve how doctors detect and track the disease, not to treat it.
