Tailored therapy trial aims to bridge mental health gap in developing nations
NCT ID NCT07239362
Summary
This study will test whether a therapy called Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapted to fit local cultures, helps adults with borderline personality disorder in low- and middle-income countries. Researchers will compare the adapted therapy to standard care to see if it better improves emotional control, reduces self-harm, and helps with depression and anxiety. The goal is to make effective mental health treatment more accessible in regions with limited resources.
