NCT ID NCT07667660
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a structured group program with doctors and physiotherapists can improve quality of life for women who had a severe tear during childbirth. About 110 women will attend three group sessions focusing on healing, exercises, and emotional support. The goal is to see if this approach reduces symptoms like incontinence and improves mental health in the first year after birth.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
group-based educational and exercise sessions
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, supportive group program to help women recover better after childbirth injuries.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 110 participants, so results may not apply to all women. The intervention is behavioral, so benefits may be modest.
