First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested four different physiotherapy methods on the patellar tendon (the tendon below the kneecap) in 84 healthy adults aged 18-24. The methods included deep friction massage, heat therapy, quadriceps exercise, and a control group. Researchers measured skin temperature, muscle strength, flexibility, and pulse rate before and after a single session. The goal was to understand how these treatments affect the knee area in the short term.
