Can a standardized protocol shorten hospital stays for pancreatitis patients?

NCT ID NCT04214756

Summary

This study is looking back at hospital records to see if a new, standardized treatment plan for acute pancreatitis leads to better patient outcomes. Researchers are comparing 500 patients treated before the protocol was introduced in 2015 to those treated after. They want to know if following the protocol shortens hospital stays, reduces the need for certain tests, and helps predict which patients will have more severe cases.
