New heart valve implant tested for patients too risky for open surgery

NCT ID NCT05847751

Summary

This study is testing the ACURATE Neo2, a new type of artificial heart valve, in patients from the Middle East who have severe, symptomatic aortic stenosis. It involves 51 patients who are at intermediate or high risk for open-heart surgery and are getting the valve implanted via a catheter in their leg. The main goal is to check how safe the procedure is and how well the new valve works 30 days after implantation.
