Ancient meets modern: acupuncture trial aims to ease worst cancer pain
NCT ID NCT07489625
Summary
This study is testing whether adding two types of acupuncture (electroacupuncture and ear acupressure) to a standard pain medication helps people with cancer pain that doesn't respond well to usual treatments. It will observe 30 patients to see if the combination reduces pain scores, lowers the need for medication, and is safe. The goal is to find better ways to manage severe, persistent cancer pain and improve quality of life.
