Acupuncture needles vs. pain pills: new study for cancer surgery recovery

Summary
This study looks at whether adding acupuncture to standard care can reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers after open abdominal surgery for colorectal or pancreatic cancer. About 70 people having these surgeries will be offered daily acupuncture sessions. The goal is to see if this approach helps with recovery and reduces side effects.
