Needles vs. tape: can acupuncture stop dialysis itch?
NCT ID NCT07030465
Summary
This study tested if a special type of acupuncture using small press needles could reduce severe, long-term itching in people on kidney dialysis. 38 patients were randomly given either real acupuncture needles or fake tape at specific points on their bodies over four weeks. Researchers measured how much the itching improved during and after the treatment to see if the real needles worked better.
