First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding acupuncture to artificial tears helps people with moderate dry eye more than using drops alone. 90 adults received either artificial tears only or tears plus acupuncture twice a week for five weeks. Researchers measured symptoms and tear production before, after, and one month later. The goal was to see if the combination offers extra relief.
