Needles and drops: can acupuncture ease dry eyes?
NCT ID NCT07185854
Summary
This study tested whether adding acupuncture to standard artificial tear eye drops provides better relief for moderate dry eye than using eye drops alone. Ninety adults with moderate dry eye were randomly assigned to receive either just eye drops or eye drops plus ten acupuncture sessions over five weeks. Researchers measured changes in eye discomfort, tear production, and tear film stability to see which approach worked better.
