Needles in motion: can moving during acupuncture ease crash pain?
NCT ID NCT06086899
Summary
This study tested whether a specific type of acupuncture helps reduce radiating pain in the arm or shoulder after a car accident. 100 hospitalized patients with significant pain were randomly assigned to receive either standard Korean medical care alone, or that same care plus three sessions of 'Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment' (MSAT), where patients move the painful area while needles are in place. Researchers compared pain levels and quality of life between the two groups to see if the moving acupuncture provided extra relief.
