Gentle touch therapy tested to help tiniest babies breathe

NCT ID NCT07187232

Summary

This study tested whether a gentle massage technique called acupressure could help premature babies who have fluid in their lungs. Researchers worked with 42 very small babies to see if the therapy could make their breathing easier, reduce their need for extra oxygen, and help them go home from the hospital faster. They measured the babies' heart rate, breathing rate, and oxygen levels to check for improvements.
