First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether acupressure, a gentle touch therapy, could help premature babies with lung congestion. 42 infants born at 32 weeks or earlier with lung infiltrates received acupressure. Researchers measured how often they needed suctioning, their heart rate, breathing rate, and oxygen levels. The goal was to see if acupressure could reduce breathing support needs and shorten hospital stays.
