Gentle touch therapy shows promise for elderly sleep woes

NCT ID NCT07277725

Summary

This study tested whether acupressure, a gentle pressure therapy, could improve sleep for elderly people living in care centers. Researchers worked with 75 residents, giving half of them 12 sessions of acupressure over four weeks. They found that the group receiving acupressure reported better sleep quality and felt less sleepy during the day.
